Belgian Pain Society (BPS)

The Belgian Pain Society, Belgian chapter of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and the European Pain Federation (EFIC),  is a multidisciplinary scientific association which brings together medical and non-medical professionals involved in the management of chronic and acute pain. The goal of our association is to support education for the treatment of pain, stimulate pain research, improve patient care by creating a network optimized for the correct pain management, and participate in the public health care.

The 13th Congress of the European Pain Federation EFIC® will be held in Budapest, Hungary from 20-22 September 2023. Under the theme of ‘Personalised Pain Management: The Future is Now’, EFIC is putting together an ambitious programme of lectures, workshops, refresher courses and networking initiatives on acute, chronic, cancer and non-cancer pain.
In addition to the latest developments in basic, translational and clinical science, we will also focus on pain management in  primary care , as well as multimodal interdisciplinary care.
